Thirumanjanam was performed in Sri Amirthavalli thayar Samedha Sri SowmyaDamodara perumal temple at Villivakkam. On account of Thai Friday and Ekadasi, Vishesha thirumanjanam was performed for Sri Amirthavalli thayar with milk, curd, honey, tender coconut, sandal paste, turmeric followed by Vishesha Alankaram. In the evening, Sri Amirthavalli thayar and Perumal along with Sridevi, Bhoodevi Nachiyar blessed the devotees during Serthi Purappadu during Thotta utsavam. Perumal and thayar adorned beautifully with silk garments and flower garlands which captivated the devotees.
Perumal and thayar purappadu took place around the inside praharam after which they reached the temple garden specially arranged for the thotta utsavam. Sattrumurai took place in the thottam and later theertha prasadam was distributed to the assembled devotees.
