Adhyayana Utsavam commenced in a very grand manner in Sri Sowmya Damodara Perumal temple at Villivakkam. Rapathu Pathu utsavam would be celebrated for ten days till 22 January 2022. The Azhwars were assembled for the Adhyayana utsavam in the Andal sannidhi. Limited parayana goshti only assembled due to pandemic restrictions laid by the Government.
On Day-4(16 January 2022); Thiruvaimozhi pasurams – 4th pathu were recited by the Prabhanda parayana swamigal. Later, Perumal Purappadu took place along with His consorts Sridevi, Bhoodevi Nachiyars inside the temple premises. Deepa Harathi was performed during purappadu. Azhwars were felicitated by SriSadari and maalai mariyadhai. Finally, theertha prasadam was distributed to the assembled devotees. Devotees had a blissful darshan of Perumal along with Azhwars.
