Rapathu utsavam commenced on 14 December 2021, on Vaikunta Ekadasi, and the utsavam is being celebrated in a very grand manner. Perumal comes in procession from Moolasthanam everyday in the noon, and reaches Thirumamani mandapam(1000 pillared mandapam), where alankaram, neivedhyam is performed. Devotees can have their entry through Sorgavaasal and have darshan of SriRanganathar. Arayar Sevai is also performed in the afternoon, followed by Purappadu along with azhwars following SriRanganathar and later in the night, reaches back to Moolasthanam.
On 16 December 2021, third day of Rapathu utsavam, Namperumal wearing Ner Kireedom, Panchayutha Maalai, Coral Maalai, Magari, Chandra Haram, Thayar-Perumal pendant, layered pendants, Kemp- red stone studded abhayahastam, and other Thiruvabharanams gave darshan to the devotees in the thousand pillared mandapam.
