Sri Peyazhwar Avathara uthsavam commenced on 04 Nov 2021, Thursday, in Mylapore Sree Adhikesava Perumal Peyazhwar Devasthanam.
Mylapore is the avatara sthalam of Sri Peyazhwar. With the guidance of thayar, he performed Nithya Aradhanam for Perumal. As per the guidance of Perumal, he guided Thirumazhisai azhwar and proclaimed Thirumazhisai Azhwar as “Bhakthisarar”
On day-1, in the morning, Thirumanjanam was performed for utsavamurthy with His consorts as well as for Sri Peyazhwar, as a part of Avatara utsavam, which is planned to be celebrated for ten days from then, till 13 November 2021. In the morning, Peyazhwar blessed the devotees in Mangalagiri purappadu. In the evening, Perumal purappadu took place as it coincided on Diwali.
