Thirunakshatra mahotsavam celebrations of Sri Vedantha Desikan commenced on 06 October 2021 in an enthusiastic manner in Sri Desikan Sannidhi at Thoopul. Thirumanjanam, Alankaram, Aradhanam, Veda Parayanam, Sattrumurai takes place everyday. Alankaram was beautifully performed with various combinations of pushpam and abharanams and Swamy Desikan gave darshan to devotees in different thirukolam in different vahanam. For the past nine days, uthsavam was celebrated in a very grand manner.
On Swami Desikan’s thirunakshatram day on Purattasi Sravanam (October 15th 2021, Friday). Swami Desikan did mangalasasanam for Sri Vilakkoli Perumal in the morning . Thereafter, Swami Desikan had purappadu in Periya Thanga Pallakku from thoopul to Kanchi Sri Devarajaswami Temple. Significantly, this is the only day when Swami Desikan can be seen in Anjali Hastham for mangalasasamam of Sri Varadaraja Perumal.
On this day Swami Desikan visits all the Sannidhis (almost 20+ sannidhis) in Sri Varadharaja Perumal temple and does managalasaasanam and gets garland and mariyahdai offered to Him.
