Thirunakshatra mahotsavam celebrations of Sri Vedantha Desikan took place in a grand manner in Sri Sengamalavalli sametha Sri Amaruviappan Perumal temple at Therezhundur. Alankaram, Aradhanam, ull purappadu, Sattrumurai takes place every day. Celebrations went on well in a grand manner for the past nine days of Desikan uthsavam and navarathri utsavam in coherence to each other. So, celebrations are performed very enthusiastically for Thayar and Swamy Desikan. Swamy Desikan’s alankaram is similar to that of Perumal brahmotsavam. Alankaram was beautifully performed with various combinations of pushpam and abharanams. Thayar was in beautiful silk vastram of different colours every day.
On Day-8, Swamy was mounted on Kudhirai Vahanam,dressed up beautifully on a horse like a king on a hunt. This alankaram, signifies that,when we surrender to Acharyal, they would destroy the evils in the minds of sishyas and guide them in a right way.
On Day-9, Thiruppaai was chanted and Swamy adorned in Swarna ratham(GOLDEN CHARIOT)
