As part of the 754th Thirunakshathra Mahothsavam of Swami Desikan at Thirukkannamangai Divya Desam, Day-9 utsavam was celebrated well on October 14, 2021.
Vishesha thirumanjanam was performed for Swami Desikan and Sri Hayagrivar in the morning today at around 9 am. After thirumanjanam, Thirupallandu, Thirupalliezhuchi, Thiruppavai, Thirumozhi 8 and 9 patthu, followed by Navamani Malai in Desika Prabhandam, 29th and 30th Paddhadies in Paduka Sahasram, Abitheesthavam and NyasaVimsadi in Stotra padam were recited. This was followed by Satrumurai and Thadiyaradhanam.
In the evening at around 5pm, after reciting Periya Thirumadal, Thiruveedhi purappadu for Swami Desikan took place in amidst Veda Parayanam and Arulicheyal (Divya Prabandham). In Paduka Sahasram 31st and 32nd Paddhadies, Nyasa Thilagam and Nyasadhasagam in Stotrapadam were recited. The day’s utsavam concluded with Satrumurai. Photos of the utsavam can be viewed below:
