Swami Desikan Thirunakshatram Utsavam at Sathyagalam is scheduled to take place on Nov 4th 2102.
The Thirunakshathram celebrations include Avabratha Thula Snanam (9.30 a.m.) at the Cauvery river, which is considered extremely holy. The Utsava Murthy of Sri Vedantha Desikar will be taken in procession to the river accompanied by His Holiness Sri Sri Abhinava Vaageesha Brahmatanthra Swatanthra Parakala Mutt Swamigal, who will take part in the holy snaanam, and celebrations.
It is nice to go through the annual thirunakshatra mahotsava of sri swami Desikan. The services of the mahasabha is laudable. I found that the thiruman kappu is purposely left missing. Is it not a symbol of Srivaishnava sampradayam? Be it thengalai or vadakalai? May I know the reason for that?
