On 16th January 2022, Guru Pushyam-Swami Ramanujar Pradishtai utsavam commenced in Sri Adhikesavaperumal Temple at Sriperumpudur.
On request of Sri Ramanujacharya’s son Sri kandhadai Andan, for the future generation to know about him, his vigraham was sculpted. On Seeing the vigraham, Sri Ethirajar embraced it and transferred his powers and glories to the vigraham and guided his son for vigraha pradistapanam on “Thai pushyam”.
This auspicious day is celebrated in Sriperumpudur, the birth place of Ethirajar, for three days as pradistai utsavam. This year also, utsavam commenced on 16th January 2022 till 18th January 2022. All the three days, utsavam was celebrated by Vishesha alankaram, aradhanam, Sattrumurai. On 18th January 2022, being thai pushyam, thirumanjanam was performed in the morning, followed by vishesha alankaram, sattrumurai and purappadu in the morning and in the evening. Felicitation was performed for Sri Ramanujacharyar from Divya Dampathis. During Purappadu, Deepa Harathi was performed. Devotees had a blissful darshan of Acharayal on this auspicious day.
