On 16 November 2021, karthikai masa pirappu-Purappadu took place in Sri Srinivasa Perumal temple at Sri Vedantha Desikar Devasthanam, Mylapore. Purappadu took place inside the temple premises. Sattrumurai was performed in a grand manner with the participation of many astikas.
