Sri Peyazhwar Avathara Utsavam commenced on 04 Nov 2021,Thursday, in Sri Adhikesava Perumal, Peyazhwar Devasthanam at Mylapore. Avatara utsavam is planned to be celebrated for ten days till 13 November 2021.
Mylapore is the avatara sthalam of Peyazhwar. With the guidance of thayar , he performed Nithya Aradhanam for Perumal. As per the guidance of Perumal, he guided Thirumazhisai and proclaimed Thirumazhisai Azhwar as “Bhakthisarar”.
On day-8: 11 November 2021,Thursday, Shravanam
In the morning, Thirunakshatra utsavam of Poigai Azhwar and Pillai Lokacharya was also celebrated, as it coincided on the same day. Thirumanjanam was performed for utsavamurthy with His consorts as well as for Sri Peyazhwar, Sri Poigai azhwar, Sri Pillailokacharya.
Alankaram, Aradhanam, Sattrumurai was performed for all the three acharyas in a grand manner.
In the evening, Alankaram was performed beautifully with Muthu Kireedom, Stone Studded big Haram, Sampanki garland. Sri Peyazhawar showered his blessings to the devotees on Gaja Vahanam. Purappadu took place inside the temple premises.
