Unjal utsavam for Sri Ranganayaki Thayar is celebrated following the unjal utsavam of Sri Ranganathar in Sri Ranganathaswami temple at Srirangam. Everyday, Thayar adorned in new silk garments blesses the devotees by her gracious presence in Unjal mandapam.
On 9th November 2021, Day-4 of Unjal utsavam, Thayar came in procession from Sri sannidhi and reached Unjal Mandapam. Sri Ranganayaki, queen of Srirangam, looked beautiful in Her new yellow colour saree with varieties of thiruvabharanams. Thayar adorned Rathna Kireedom, Diamond studded Abhaya Hastham, Diamond ear studs with ear tanglings, Step chains, kaasu maalai and coral maalai looked marvellous which added to Her beauty, which was enthralling to the devotees . The big red coral maalai looked like garland made of plums. The beauty of the Sathupadi, as well as, the decoration of the unjal mandapam, was inseperable and complimentary to each other, which added more beauty to that of SriRanganayaki’s glowing beauty.
