Pavitrotsavam commenced today in Sri Amaruviappan temple at Therezhundur. Thirumanjanam was performed and alankaram was beautifully performed. On this occasion, Pavitrotsavam started with mrithsangrahanam, collecting mud for the utsavam, as a representation of Bhoomadevi, followed by Senai Mudhaliyar ezhundarulal. Kumbha Pradistai and Pavitramaalia pradistai was performed and many astikas participated in the event and got the blessings of Perumal and Thayar
