Architecture:This temple is around 800 to 900 years old. This temple is constructed in Hoysala style by architect Jakanachari, which is visible by finely turned pillars. The temple is constructed 10 feet above the ground level. Devotees should climb the stairs to have darshan. On climbing the stairs, one shall have the ight of Mukha Mandapam. The temple has three parts, viz., Mukha mantapa, where Sri Yoga Narasimhar murthy resides, Sukhanasi which seperates from the navaranga. Navaranga is the place of four pillars. In front of Mukha mandapam, there is a Garbhagruha for Sri Lakshmi Varaha perumal, to pacify the ferocious Narasimha swamy.

Sthala Puranam: Before 500 years, Narasimhaswamy was very furious. Sri Lakshmi Varahaperumal was installed in the temple in front, in line of sight of Narasimhaswamy. Before 500 years, everyday, Raw husks would be kept in front of garbha gruha, before opening the doors for pooja in the morning. Invariably, husks would be burnt into ashes. Even now, before opening the doors of Lord Narasimhar, doors of garbha gruha of Sri Lakshmi Varahaperumal  is opened, so that, his very first sight falls on Sri lakshmi varahar, thus reducing his anger and making him shantam. Only then, devotees could enter for darshan.
