Thirunakshatra mahotsavam celebrations of Sri Vedantha Desikan commenced on 06 October 2021 in an enthusiastic manner in Sri Desikan Sannidhi in Sri Lakshmi Hayagrivar Sannidhi at Villivakkam. Thirumanjanam, Alankaram, Aradhanam, Veda Parayanam, Sattrumurai takes place everyday. Alankaram was beautifully performed with various combinations of pushpam and abharanams and Swamy Desikan gave darshan to devotees in different thirukolam in different vahanam. For the past nine days, uthsavam was celebrated in a very grand manner.

Day-10, 15 October 2021, Friday, Sravanam:-
Morning, Swamy Desikan was adorned so beautifully, in his archaswaroopam with simple alankaram on his Thirunakshatram. Sattrumurai took place in a grand manner. Swami Desikan did mangalasasanam for Sri HayagrivaPerumal, where felicitation was done for Swamy Desikan from Divya Dampathis. Mangalasasanam was done for many Divya desam Perumal, for whom Swami has done mangalasasanam through his Strotrams. Felicitation was done for all the Veda Parayana Ghosti on this special event with the blessings through maalai mariyadhai from Swami Desikan
In the evening, Swami Desikan was adorned in Silver kavacham with beautiful kadambha maalai, during his purappadu in which Swami looked so beautiful and majestic. Purappadu took place inside the temple premises itself, due to the restrictions of the government. Purappadu was followed by Periya Sattrumarai which was the conclusion of the Avatara Mahotsavam and varieties of sweet distribution was prepared as prasadam for the Thirunakshtram of Swami Desikan and was distributed to the devotees who were assembled during the utsavam.
