754th Thirunakshathra Mahothsavam of Sri Nigamantha Maha Desikan, will be celebrated for 11 days from 06.10.2021 to 16.10.2021 at Thirukkannamangai.
Thirukkannamangai is one of the 108 Divyadesams, in Tiruvarur district. This is also known as Krishna mangala Kshetram. Main deity is Sri Abhishekavalli Sametha Sri Bhaktavatsala Perumal.It is believed that wedding of Maha Vishnu Mahalakshmi took place here.
Swamy Desikan Sannidhi is also situated near the temple premises, where the thriunakshatram utsavam of Swamy Vedantha Desikan, is planned to be celebrated by the organisers. Thirumanjanam, Aradhanam, Visesha alankaram will be performed for Sri Hayagriva Perumal along with Swamy Desikan. Veda Parayanam, Seva kalam and thadhiyaradhanam is planned for all the ten days from 06 october 2021, (Hastha nakshatram).Purappadu will also be performed everyday.
On 15 October 2021, Friday, (Sravana nakshatram), Vishesha thirumanjanam for Sri Hayagrivar and Sri Vedanta Desikan will be performed.Theerthavaari will be performed for Sri Bhaktavatsala Perumal, Thayar, Sri Ramanujar in Darisana Pushkarani . Mangalasasanam will take place in Sannidhis of Perumal, Thayar, Sri Ramanujar for Swamy Desikan.
In the evening, Purappadu of Sri BhaktavatsalaPerumal along with Veda Parayanam will take place after which Perumal will reach Desikan Sannidhi. Veda parayanam poorthi and Desikan prabhandha parayanam and Sattrumurai will take place during Aradhanam during the completion of the utsavam.
