On July 9, 2017 (Hevilambi varusha Aani Pooradam), ninth day of Theppothsavam was celebrated in a grand manner at Mannargudi Sri Rajagopalaswamy Temple. Sri Rukmani Sathyabhama Sametha Sri Vidhya Rajagopalan had theppothsavam at the Haridhranadhi followed by Avabridhasnanam.On this day, Sri Rajagoplan gave darshan in Rajalankaram with the tusk of Kuvalayapeedam (the elephant Sri Krishna slayed just before entering the wrestling arena to kill Mushtika and Chanura followed by His uncle Kamsa’s samharam).
The Uthsavam was commenced on July 1, 2017 and was concluded with Sapthavaranam on July 10, 2017. Several astikas took part and had blessings of Sri Vidhya Rajagopalan.
