Aadi Sukravara Purappadu took place in a grand manner at Thiruthanka Sri Vilakoli Perumal Temple. On July 22nd 2016, Sri Thayar had beautiful alangaram followed by Purappadu and Oonjal Sevai was held. Grand satrumurai and sevakalam took place with arulicheyal and veda parayana ghosti. Many devotees participated in the Sukravara Purappadu and received the blessings of Sri Thayar.
