Thai madha Purappadu took place well at Puliyur Sri Mayapiran Perumal Temple. On this occasion, in the evening Sri Perumal had purappadu on the temple elephant. Several devotees participated in the Utsavam and received the blessings of Divyadampathis. Thiru Puliyur is one of the Divyadesam of Puliyur Divyadesams, the other one is Sirupuliyur near Mayavaram.
