The Parthasarathy Temple is an 8th century Hindu Vaishnavite temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, located at Triplicane, Chennai. It is one among the 108 divyadesams or holy abodes of Lord Vishnu. Lord Krishna is worshipped in the name ‘Parthasarathy’ in this temple, which means in Sanskrit, ‘charioteer of Arjuna’. Irapathu of Thiruadhyayana Utsavam was celebrated in a grand manner at this temple. On December 26th 2015, Sri Parthasarathy Swamy had Thiruvenkatamudayan Thirukolam followed by Thiruveeethi Purappadu in the evening along with Azhwar. Grand satrumurai and sevakalam took place with arulicheyal and Parayana Ghosti. Thousands of devotees thronged to have dharshan of Divyadampathis and Azhwar and received the blessings.
