Vaikunta Ekadasi was celebrated in a grand manner at Varadaraja Perumal Devasthanam, Salem. On December 21st 2015, Sri Varadaraja Perumal along with His Consorts had beautiful alangaram and entered through the paramapada vasal in the morning at 4.30 am and blessed the devotees. Many Bakthas participated and received the blessings of Divyadampathis. The Vaikunta Ekadasi festival is an occasion when the Paramapada vaasal is opened for devotees. Paramapada Vasal, colloquially known as Sorga vaasal is the Gateway to Heaven.
