Thiruadhyayana Utsavam commenced with Pagal Pathu in a grand manner at Srivilliputhur Sri Nachiyar Kovil. On December 14th 2015, being Day 4 Utsavam, Sri Perumal and Thayar and Sri Andal along with Azhwars had beautiful alangaram and at 2 pm Thiruppavai Sevai was performed with arulicheyal and Parayana Ghosti. Later Theertham, Satari and Prasadham was distributed to the devotees. Many Bakthas participated and received the blessings of Sri Perumal and Thayar and Sri Andal and Azhwars. Located 70 Kms South West of Madurai is Srivilliputhur, the birthplace of Andal and considered to be among the holiest of the 108 Divya Desams. This is the birthplace of not one but two Azhvaars and a father-daughter one at that-PeriAzhvaar and Andal.
