On 27th October 2015, The Manmadha Varusha Pavithrotsavam commences grandly at Sri Balaji Mandir, Dombvili. Perumal along with Ubhaya Nachiyars had beautiful Alangaram followed by Homam at yagasalai. Later Divyadampathis had Purappadu and Parayana Ghosti was conducted. Similarly, On 28th october 2015, the Day 2 Pavithrotsavam was celebrated in a grand manner. Many devotees participated and had the blessings of Sri Padmavathi Thayar and Sri Balaji Perumal. Annual Pavitrotsavams are purificatory rituals recommended by Aagamas to expiate the commissions and the omissions associated with daily worship (Aaraadhanam) of the Lord at His consecrated temples. Lapses in the performance of the Aaraadhanam are recognized and a detailed ceremony consisting of homam in front of the Utsava Moorty at a specailly constructed yaaga saala. Pavitrotsavam is a well prescribed ritual , where the archaka prays for forgiveness for all lapses–conscious or otherwise– in the daily worship of the Lord .
