Today June 5, 2014, Jaya Varusha Vaikasi Maham, Day 6 of the ongoing Brahmotsavam at Sri Vedantha Desikar Devasthanam (SVDD) Sri Alarmelmanga sametha Sri Srinivasa Perumal temple, Mylapore, Chennai, is being celebrated. In the morning, Perumal thiruveedhi purappadu took place in Venugoplan Alankaram with a grand Arulicheyal and Veda Parayanam Ghoshti.Choornabhishekam took place prior to morning purappadu. Several astikas took part in the purappadu and had the blessings of Thayar and Perumal.
