As part of the ongoing Fifth Brahmotsavam at Sri Venkatachalapathy Temple, BHEL Tiruchirappalli. On 4 March 2014,The Car Festival (Ratha Yatra) of the fifth Brahmotsavam in Sri Venkatachalapathy Temple in BHEL Township took place this morning. At 7-30 am, the Lord of Seven Hills, attired in rubies and gems, ascended the bedecked Rath of 32 feet tall. The Ratha Yatra began at 8 am with Shri A V Krishnan, Executive Director , inaugurating the Yatra by pulling the rope. He was joined by Shri T Chockalingam, General Manager Finance and President Sri Venktachalapathi Seva Samith, Shri V Vasudevan, GM (Planning and Development), Shri M Palanivel, GM (Human Resource) of BHEL and Shri S Manoharan, Vice President of the samithi. Thousands of people pulled the rath and the rath came to its position back at 10-30 am.
