Today Vijaya Thai Tiruvadhirai, 11.2.2014, was the 8th day of Bhupathi Tirunal. Nam Perumal’s purappadu started at 7.00 a.m. from Kanadi Arai in a palanquin covered with red and green velvet embellished with Shanku Chakram and Tiruman. As Perumal emerged from the Nazhiketan vasal in pallaku everyone had their eyes glued towards it inorder to see NamPerumal. His garland was sighted first and His crown then gradually He gave full view .. Because the pallaku was covered view was afforded from one side only. His Neelamani and Abhaya Hastham reassured us that since He is ours we need not worry for we belong to Him.
As NamPerumal emerged out of Ranga Ranga gopuram and the view got better. The Arulacheyal goshti recited Vadinen Vadi and our minds went back to Tirumangai Azhwar who has given us the Narayana namam . As the SripadamThangigals moved and stopped we got near to view His gemstudded makarakundalams and Kasthuri Tilakam and ruby Abhaya Hastham . However much we run after Him ,satisfaction is not reached for the longing to see Him only increases. Today NamPerumal will we in Ranga vilas mandapam till evening when He will leave on kudhirai vahanam at 6.30p.m.
