On December 31, 2013; Vijaya Varusha Margazhi Kettai, Thiruadhyana Utsavam commenced in a grand manner with Pagal Pathu at Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Tirumala. Tirumala-Tirupati Jeeyar HH Sri Periyakoil Kelviyappan Sadagopa Ramanuja Pedda Jeeyar Swamy of Tirumala along with Sri Narayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamy were present during the first day of the utsavam.
The utsavam will conclude on January 25, 2014. Pagal Pathu will be celebrated for the first 11 days followed by Irappathu for the next ten days. On the 22nd day, Kanninun Siruttambu, on the 23rd day Ramanuja Nuttrandadi will be recited followed by the Varaha Swamy sattumurai on the 24th day and Thanniramudu festival on the final day of the utsavam.
