Today September 10th, 2013; Vijaya Aavani Swathi followed by Vishakam is the 51st day of HH 46th Srimath Azhagiyasingar, Srivan Sathakopa Sri Ranganatha Yathindra Maha Desikan’s Chathurmasya sankalpam. Abhigamanam was done at the usual time and Theertham, SriSathari and Prasada Viniyogam (Ven pongal,sakkarai pongal and fruits) were done by 8.45 am. Some devotees had Samashrayanam and Bharanyasam done. After this Srimath Azhagiyasingar visited the Brindavanams of HH 41st and 44th Srimath Azhagiyasingars and inspected the progress of work at HH 45th Srimath Azhagiyasingar’s Brindavanam which is coming up. After this HH went to Ashram where devotees prostrated and got mantrakshatai.
Meanwhile at the Sathabhisheka mandapam, preparations were on for Swathi Thirumanjanam.Why today and not yesterday was the question in the minds of devotees? If Swathi nakshtram is present for atleast 6 nazhigais Tirumanjanam is done on the second day, if it is less than 6 nazhigais it is done on the first day. Swathi Thirumanjanam is a long process and by the time alankaram was over and Theertham was given it was almost 2.30pm. Thadheearadhanai followed and devotees went home with a feeling of sadness that by next Swathi Malolan would not be in SriRangam. As the Chathurmasyam period is nearing completion the thought of separation from Sri Malolan, Srimath Azhagiyasingar and all the kainkaryaparas makes one sad but the sweet memories and experiences will stay.
