With the grace of Sri Mukkur LakshmiNarasimachar swamy’s (Sri Swamy) sankalpam, and with the blessings of Sri Mattapallinathan, Sri Yagna Murthy, Sri Nammazhwar and Sri Madurakavi Azhwar, Kanninun Sirutthaambu Japam was started on the 17th of August at Mattapalli Kshetram. This recitation is planned to take place every day until the 18th of September 2013. During this period, the recitation is planned to take place at Mattapalli, Kaakinada and in Chennai. Overall, 12,000 times recitation of Kanninun Sirutthaambu is planned, with each day recitation of 128 times in these places.
By the Grace of Sri Swamy’s sankalpa and the Blessings of Sri Mattapallinathan, Sri Yagna Murthy, Sri Nammazhwar and Sri Madurakavi Azhwar, Kanninun Sirutthaambu Japam is progressing well.
As part of this recitation, on Day 18, the Japam started at about 8:30 am and was completed at about 12:40 pm. At the end of the Japam, Thiruvoimozhi 5-6-1 to 5-10-11 was chanted. On Day 19, the Japam started at about 9:15 am and was completed at about 1:15 pm. At the end of the Japam, Thiruvoimozhi 6-1-1 to 6-5-11 was chanted. On this day, there was some creative work with Mattapalli Perumal in the Gantai and on Tulsi leaf by Srivatsan and “Pookkal Vazhpadum PuraananE” artwork of Mattapalli Perumal and Srinivasar on a stone by Mukkur Mami. On Day 20, the Japam started at about 8:30 am and was completed at about 12:30 pm and Thiruvoimozhi 6-6-1 to 6-10-11 was chanted. It being Friday, after the sahasranama archanai, GodhaDevi Thaayar of the main temple, visited Krishnaveni river during the purappadu and offered puja to the river.
