Today (April 22, 2013), Aaaram thirunal of Vijaya Varusha Chitrai Bramotsavam at Sri Aaravamudhan Sannidhi, purappadu of Sri Amuthan with Sri Chakkarathazhavar took place on Yanai Vahanam. The procession took place through the Iyyengar Street, Kavarai Street and after return prathakshinam of the famous Potramarai Thirukkulam was done. On the banks of Thirukkulam, malai matruthal function (exchanging the Garlands) with Sri Komalavalli Thayar took place in the Sannidhi situated there. It may be noted that thayar is said to be born in that famous Hema Pushkarini which is presently called Potramarai Thirukkulam. Thereafter, Thirukkaithala Seva of Sri Amuthan and Sri Chakarathazhvar was performed.
Yesterday was the aintham thirunal of the Bramotsavam. Purappadu of Sri Amuthan with Sri Chakkarathazhavar took place on Hanumantha Vahanam. Sri Ramaswami SriRamaNavami utsavam sapthavarna purappadu also took place on the same day.
