Vaikunta Ekadasi and Bhagavad-Gita Jayanthi was celebrated in a grand manner at Sri Rangantha Temple,8 Laden Town Road, Pomona, NY 10970, on 23rd December Sunday.
On that day, the temple was opened at 5.am. After Subrabatham,Dhanur masa pooja the following schedule was followed:
- 7.00am Vaikunta -dwara-darsanam followed by Sri Ranganathar Thirumanjanam,continue adhyana utsavam parayanam
- 3.00 pm Gita paranayam
- 5.00pm Gita-recitation by children
It was a very special celebration with nearly 1,500 devotees visiting the temple on that day though the weather was below ‘0’ degree. The temple was open till 9.00pm and free prasadam was provided for all.
