The annual Jeshtabhishekam or Periya Thirumanjanam took place for moolavar on July 29, 2012 (Sunday) at Sri Bhaktavatsala Perumal Devasthanam, Thirukannamangai. This is a special feature as thirumanjanam for the moolava moorthy takes place only once a year on this day.
In this divyadesam, perumal and thayar wedding is performed. There is a beehive in the Thayar sannadhi. It is said the devas who came for the wedding, stayed back in the form of bees. Daily prayers are offered to the beehive. No devotee is strung by the bees. Since the thayar was bathed  with holy waters of Darshana pushkarani before the marriage to perumal. She is called Abhisehekavalli.
