Thirupavithrothsava and Thirukkalyana utsavam is scheduled to take place at Alagarai Sri Venkatesa Perumal thirukkoil from September 21 to 23, 2012. This marks the fifth year celeberation at the thirukkoil. Thirupani was done in 2006 and Thirupavithrothsavam cum thirukkalyanam is being conducted every year during the month of Purattaasi.

Alagarai village is situated near-Gunaseelam, Musiri – Salem route from Tiruchi, about 7 km from Musiri. Ninety Srivaishnava families were there about 60 years back and they were all left alagarai for better living and by His grace, all are well now. The Alagarai SriVenkatachalapathy Kainkarya Sabha is conducting this utsavam ever year. Srivaishnavas,who have connection with Alagarai temple are requested to join and strengthen the sabha for Kainkaryams in the years to come.
