The silver satagopa (called Satari), in Komalavalli Thayar- Aravamuda temple at Kumbakonam eulogised by Nammalvar, was brought in exchange for a golden satagopa, in a procession comprising elephants, horses and camels, all the way from Kumbakonam to the precincts of the temple in 1785. The devotees are blessed by this SATARI only 4 times in a year. AND TODAY ALL THE DEVOTEES WILL BE BLESSED BY THIS SILVER SATARI.
