On 20th October 2018 (SriVilambi Aippasi Sadayam), the Thirunakshatram of Peyazhwar; was celebrated grandly at Sri Parthasarathy Perumal Temple, Thiruvallikeni. Peyazhwar is one among the Muthal azhwars. On the occasion, Sri Parthasarathy Perumal and His Consorts had a great alankaram with several ornaments like kaasu malai, pink stone fixed pendants, chains and flower garlands of jasmine, rose, kanakambaram, pavalamalli. Peyazhwar, in anjali hastham, was also decorated beautifully with kaasu malai, chains with pearls and flower garlands. In the evening, the Divyadampathis and Peyazhwar had purappadu in the temple streets. Several astikas participated in the purappadu and had the blessings of Divyathampathis and Azhwar.
