On 27th August 2018 (Srivilambi Varusha Aavani Sadhayam) Udhaya Garuda Sevai took place in grand manner at Sri Oppilliappan Temple, Thiruvinnagar. It marked the last day of the ongoing thirupavithrotsavam. Perumal wore a good combination of white and blue velvet vasthram and Thayar adorned green saree along with maanga malai, several pendants and flower garlands. After alankaram, Perumal ascended the silver Garuda vaahanam and Thayar as Gaja Lakshmi ascended the Kamala vaahanam. Several astikas took part in the ThiruPavithrotsavam Udhaya Garuda Sevai and had blessings of Divya Dampathis.
