As part of ongoing Chithirai Brahmotsavam at Thiruvallikeni Sri Parthasarathy Swamy Temple, the 9th day took place on May 7th 2018. In the morning, the utsavam started with Allmel Pallaku followed by Mattaiadi mahotsavam and theerthavari around 4pm. Then by the evening, the pathi Ulathal performed followed by purappadu of Sri Perumal which took place on kannadi Pallaku.
On the previous day (May 6, 2018; Chithirai-Uthradam), Day 8 Utsavam was celebrated. In the morning, Sri Parthasarathy Perumal had thiruveethi purappadu on Pallaku. For that purappadu, Perumal in Vennathazhi kannan alankaram adorned white and red silk vasthram. Later in the evening, Sri Parthasarathy Perumal had purappadu on a golden Aswa(Kudhirai) vahanam and Vedupari Utsavam was performed followed by thiruveethi purappadu. Grand satrumurai and sevakalam took place with arulicheyal and veda parayana ghosti.
