Udhaya Garuda Sevai was held for Sri Vaikundha Naadha Perumal at Thirunaangur on the account of Pavitrotsava pooranahuthi on 1st September. Beautifully decorated perumal rode the majestic Pakshirajan (Garudan) on the mada veedhies of the temple. Later, after returing to the temple theerthavari was performed. It is the practive in the thondai mandalam to conduct Garuda Sevai (Udhaya Garuda Sevi) and Theerthavari on the last day of thirupavitrotsavam. Losts of Astikas took part in the utsavam and received the blessing of perumal.
