Chithirai is the Thirunakshatram of Sri Veeraraghava Perumal. Every Chithirai Perumal Thiruveethi Purappadu happens at Thiruvallur. On June 15th 2016, Aani Chithirai, Purappadu took place for Sri Perumal with His Consorts with grand arulicheyal and veda parayana ghosti. Many devotees participated in the Purappadu to have dharshan of Divyadampathis and received the blessings.
