The three-day annual religious event of Salakatla Padmavathi Parinayotsavam off to a colourful start in the finely decked “Swarnima Mandapam” at Narayanagiri Gardens in Tirumala on May 15th 2016 evening.
The processional deity of Lord Malayappa Swamy was taken to the Narayanagiri Gardens on Gaja Vahana on the first day, while His two consorts adorned with special jewels followed Him to the tastefully decorated Narayanagiri Gardens on palanquins.
Traditional events which are usually performed during the Hindu weddings including Edurkolu, Pubantata etc. have been performed which has provided a feast to the eyes of thousands of pilgrims who converged in the gardens to witness the celestial fete.
On the other hand the glittering golden wedding hall concept – the “Swarnima Mandapam” set up to host the three day celestial wedding ceremony-Padmavathi Parinayotsavam amazed the pilgrims as it has added the extra glory to the festival.
