In a grand feat, after almost 50 years, Margazhi Theppotsavam is taking place at Sri Veeraraghava Perumal Temple, Thiruvallur Divyadesam. After several years, Hruthapanasani pushkarani is brimming with water as if it is eagerly waiting for Veeraraghava Perumal to adorn its waters. On January 8th 2016, being Day 2 Utsavam, in the evening Perumal proceeded from Kovil to the Hruthapanasani pushkarani and Theppam was perfomed in the presence of HH 46th Srimath Azhagiyasingar, Srivan Sathakopa Sri Ranganatha Yathindra Maha Desikan. After Theppam, Perumal had purappadu back to the temple through the mada veedhis and Yaagam was performed at Yagasalai in the presence of Divyadampathis. Thousands of devotees thronged to have dharshan of Divyadampathis and Srimad Azhagiyasingar and received the blessings. Devotees may take this opportunity to have this rare seva at Thiruvallur.
