Ekadasi Purappadu took place in a grand manner at Sri Veeraraghava Perumal Temple, Thiruvallur Divyadesam. On January 6th 2016, being Ekadasi, Sri Veeraraghava Perumal along with His Consorts had beautiful alangaram followed by Maada Veethi Purappadu in the evening. Grand satrumurai and sevakalam took place with arulicheyal and Parayana Ghosti. Several devotees participated in the Purappadu and received the blessings of Divyadampathis. Located about 50kms from Madras on the Madras-Arakkonam rail route is Veera Raghava Perumal koil in Thiru Evvalur (now Thiruvellur).
