Karthigai Festival is also called as “the Festival of Lights”. This falls in the Tamil month of Karthigai when the star Krithigai is on the ascendant which usually occurs on full moon day. On November 26th 2015, Thirukarthigai Deepa Utsavam was grandly celebrated at Sri Ahobila Mutt Temple, Chembur. In the evening Maha Arathi was performed to the Divyadampathis and Karthigai Deepam was lit in all the sannadhis and witnessed the burning of Sokkapanai. Many Bakthas participated and received the blessings of Divyadampathis.
