During 31-7-2015 and 2-8-2015 Thirupavithrothsavam for Lord Naveneetha Perumal was conducted for the sixth year in sucession with angurarpanam pavithra prathishtai homam starting on the afternoon on 31st July .On 1st august 2015; the second day there was pavithra gragyam kumba aradanam and homam sathumurai etc. On 2nd August 2015 the third day pavithrothsavam concluded with homam Mahapoornahudi and sathumarai goshti .On three days thera was thiruveedi purappadu in Garuda Sesha and Hanumantha Vahanam for Navaneetha krishna and consorts.There was Veda Prabanda parayanam on all three days together with sthothrapadam recital. All the Aviyurites Asthikas and general public participated on all three days and received the blessings of Lord NavaneethaKriskna PerumalAviyur is a village situated in the trunk road of Tirukoilur-Cudddalore 4kms east of Tirukoilur a Vaishnavite place where three Alwars sung in praise of Lord Thiruvikrama.The village is situated on the southern side of river Pennar.The presiding deity is Lord Navaneethakrishna with consorts Rukmani and Satyabhama with Lord Varadarajar Nammalwar Kaliyan and Acharyan Nigamantha Desikar.
