Today, June 11, 2014; Jaya Varusha Vaikasi Visakam, being Namazhwar Thirunakshatram, Swami Namazhwar and Thirumangai Azhwar at Srirangam Sri Ranganatha Divya Desam had purappadu around Chitrai Veedhi in the morning at 7 am. The two Azhwars entered from the North entrance to the Thayar Sannidhi, where Mangalasasanam was offered to Thayar followed by Prasada viniyogam at the Sannidhi. Azhwars then exited from the North entrance and again had purappadu around the Chitrai Veedhi, to now enter through the South Ranga Gopuram entrance. The Azhwars received malai mariyadai at Ul Andal Sannidhi. Several devotees participated in the purappadu and had the blessings of the Azhwars.
