On 24 May 2014, Jaya Varusha Vaikasi Uthirattathi; Navadhina Brahmotsavam Commences in grand manner at Sri Kamalavalli Nayeka Sametha Sri Vijayaraghava Perumal Temple at Pudavayal, Gummidinpoondi Vattam, Thiruvallur District. As part of the brahmotsavam Angurarapanam took place on 23rd May followed by Dvajarohanam on 24th may early morning. Everyday there was purappadu for perumal in different vahanam both in the morning and evening. Lot of astikas took part in the brahmotsavam and had the blessings of Divyadampatis.
Puduvayal is a tiny hamlet located around forty five kilometers from Chennai on the Chennai-Kolkata national highway.There is one of the oldest shrines to Lord Narayana in these puduvayal area. The lord in the temple is Sri Kamalavalli Thayar Sametha Sri Vijayaraghava Perumal.The temple is said to be more than 1200 years old.
