Yesterday Jaya, Chitrai Moolam; April 20th 2014 was the second day of Viruppan Tirunal. NamPerumal was in Seshadri Iyengar Aasthana mandapam for the day and SriRangamvasis headed there to have darshan of NamPerumal at close quarters, offer archanais and to partake of Theertham and SriSathari. Then at 6.30p.m. NamPerumal started from the mandapam in Kalpavriksha vahanam. At about 7.15 the procession reached the crossing of South and West Chitra Veedhis.People waited everywhere to catch a glimpse of their Favourite and to drink His Adhbhutha Soundaryam( Unparalleled Handsomeness) as He came with the Divya Prabhandham goshti infront of Him and the Vedic chantings offering guard from behind. From a distance the two torches could be seen along with the two white umbrellas. As NamPerumal stood under the tree of gold wearing a long crown of gold and ornaments of gold and series of pendants reaching upto His feet,it seemed as if it was daytime.The golden Sesha and the golden prabhai with shanku,chakra at the sides and the golden arch of the tree was topped by the golden umbrella. Devotees did dandavath pranams and either accompanied the procession or enjoyed the “Pin Azhaghu” of Perumal till the proccession got out of sight. After doing the rounds of the Chitra Veedhis NamPerumal on the kalpakavriksha tree entered the Tiruvehndikaapu mandapam at about 8.15p.m. After being in Vahana mandapam till 8.45 ,He reached “Kanadi- Arai by 9.15 p.m.
