Yesterday 25 January . Vijaya Varusham Thai Visakam, Thai Brahmotsavam Commences in grand manner at Sri Veeraraghava Perumal Kovil, Thiruvallur. On the first day of Brahmotsavam Flag Hoisting Dvajarohanam took place in the early morning 5.00 A.M. Later Thiruveedhi Purappadu happens in the Thanga Chapparam, The Thai Brahmotsavam will take place for 10 days until February 3, 2014. In the evening Perumal Thiruveedhi Purappadu happens on Simha Vahanam .Lot of astikas took part in the Purappadu and had the blessings of Thayar and Perumal.
