On January 26, 2014, Varanam Aayiram audio CD will be released by HH 46th Srimath Azhagiyasingar, Srivan Sathakopa Sri Ranganatha Yathindra Maha Desikan, at Thiruvallikeni Sri Ahobila Mutt. On this day, there will be a live concert on this day from 5 pm onwards.
Srimath Azhagiyasingar will be on sancharam to Thiruvallikeni from January 25 to 29, 2014. During the Sancharam to Thiruvallikeni, HH 46th Srimath Azhagiyasingar’s Pattinapravesam will take place on January 25th, 2014 at 4:00 pm from Parthasarathy Sabha Triplicane, Sri Ahobila Mutt. The audio CD is about Andal Thirukkalyanam as visualised by Soodikkodutta NachiyAr Herself in Her immortal VaaraNamAyiram Paasurams. All the 11 Paasurams have been set to music by Smt Jayanthi Sridhar in beautiful rakti Ragams and the appropriate Rg Veda Mantrams from the 10th KaaNDam are recited by Rg Veda GhanapAdis for each stage of Andal’s vaidhika Vivaha MahOtsavam. Smt Jayanthi Sridhar, a sishyai of Sangeeta Kalanidhi Dr.M.L.Vasanthakumari, is rendering these Paasurams to the accompaniment of Paaka Vaadhyams and a specially constructed Nadaswaram.
