Kambarnatham is a small village in Thanjavur district, Tamilnadu. The Kumbabishekam (consecration) of the Sri Srinivasa PerumalĀ Temple was performed in 2012 after which yearly festivals started taking place. Some of these festivals were last held some 40-50 years ago (some festivals are being celebrated till today without any lacuna). For unknown reasons, they were not celebrated in the last 40-50 years . With His blessings and the help of village people and people all around the world who have their ancestry here, the yearly festivities have started to take place again, in a grand manner. This year Swami Desikan Thirunakshatram took place in grand manner on 13 October 2013. On Vijayadasami the Ambu poduthal utsavam also took place in very grand manner. Lot of bhaagavathas nearby took part in the utsavam and had Darshan of Acharya and Perumal.
MoolavarĀ is Varadaraja Perumal .The Temple is situated in Thanjavur-Tiruvarur highway, about 5-6 km south of Saliyamangalam, immeditely past Poondi.
